Heroes of everyman guitar players around the world, Squier has been producing amazing yet affordable versions of Fender’s legendary guitar models for 40 years. To commemorate this auspicious occasion, Squier has released some limited gold and vintage edition versions of its entry-level stars; the Strat, Tele, Jazzmaster, P-Bass and J-Bass.

This Squier 40th Anniversary Stratocaster Electric Guitar is a Gold Edition Strat, and, as you can see from its stunning burnished gold-plated hardware and gold anodised aluminium pickguard, this guitar is classy, not brassy. This Strat will make a gorgeous centrepiece of anyone's collection. It features a smooth Maple neck capped by a bound Indian Laurel fingerboard with pearloid block inlays. There's also a gold-plated neck-plate brandishing an engraved 40th-anniversary commemorative logo.

Thanks to a slim and comfortable “C”-shaped neck profile, vintage-style tuning machines and 6-saddle vintage-style synchronised tremolo, this Strat performs like a dream, and its Fender-designed single-coil pickups generate an authentic Strat tone.
