Zildjian K Sweet 14" Hi Hat Cymbals - Traditional Finish

We’re big fans of Zildjian’s K Sweet series here at Wembley Music Centre. Dark and crisp cymbals that are hugely unique and yet can sit their voice into all kinds of genres. The Zildjian K Sweet Hi-Hat Cymbals 14" bring these brilliant characteristics into a pair of extra heavy weight bottom and thin top hi-hats.

These hats are a vintage funk kind of tight. The sustain is super short, but the pitch is really low, which gives these hi-hats a prominent ‘chick’ sound which cuts through the mix neatly despite its low pitch. The stick definition is very prominent, with even the most complex of articulations being projected neatly. To contrast the tight nature of the closed hats, when these hats are half opened they are perfectly washy. The sonic space really fills out, but of course, with the dark nature of these hats they don’t pierce too much and drown out the top end of the other band instruments. In addition, the bell is unlathed so any work on the bell adds a whole extra layer to this hi-hats character.
